I am so pleased with myself this afternoon because I have just finished Sergei - the very elegant bird from Plum Street Samplers.
I started this one back in April 2012 while I was away on holiday as it was the smallest piece of stitching I could find to take with me. I have barely touched it since then, but decided to finish it off before I got back on to the huge task (for me) of finishing off Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow.
I have stitched on it a little in the last week or so, but this morning I sat by the window with the early morning sunlight streaming in and started working on him. I completed the last stitches about an hour ago, and as it is very hot here now it was getting rather sticky for stitching.
So, ta da !! here is Sergei !!
I know, I know - sorry it is not ironed! As I said above I was so chuffed that I wanted to share it straight away and it really is a bit too hot for ironing! (honestly!)
It is stitching night tonight, so if it is cooler, I will be able to move back onto CHRH and see if I can get into the swing of doing one block a month.
Thanks for popping in,
Mary

Oh Sergei is so handsome! I have him in my stash. I just got back into the swing of my HRH Christmas; only three blocks completed but put some serious stitches in this weekend. Maybe we can be inspired by each other's progress pics. I know Stitching in Lobsterland keeps me going when I see hers. :) Have a happy day, keep cool.
Congrats on finishing Sergei! He's very cute!
What a handsome bird Sergei is!! Beautiful stitching, Mary!
Wonderful stitching !!!
Hello Mary,
Oh dear, I knew I was behind in my blog reading but you posted this in January and here I am just looking at it now!
I love your finished Sergei. I have that design kitted up and maybe there is even a stitch or two in it but I lost my stitching mojo along with my blogging mojo and there it has lain ever since.
Happy weekend,
Margaret
