Two birds in the basket

I started La D Da's "Bird" way back in January.  I have no idea when I finished it, but finished it is - well, the stitching anyway.  What it will become or when, is quite another question.  It is really too big for a pincushion and I won't be getting it framed, but here it is.

The second is this sweet little red bird.  Pattern by BBD using the called for threads and linen from my stash.

Again, I don't know how I will finish it off.  I am getting quite a pile of finished pieces.

Ohhh...both birds turned out just lovely. May be make a project bag and sow one of them on the front? Or something like that? Whatever you decide, they do look wonderful no matter.

Love the two bird projects Mary. I like Gabi's idea of a little bag. You could use some of that fabric stash I know you have lol!!

Love the recent finishes Mary. I thought a bag would be nice too, or you could fix them to the lid of a papier mache box, which with your talents, you could decorate or distress beautifully.

Both are wonderful, Mary! I love the 'a bird in hand' saying. Great job.

Your bird finishes are so sweet, Mary! I, like you, have a pile of "unfinished finishes!" I'm trying to get better about finishing my small pieces right away, but for me the joy is in the stitching ;)
